Get and troubleshoot the DIRECTV App on LG Smart TVs

The DIRECTV App is officially supported on LG Smart TVs 2021 and newer models, operating on webOS 6.0 or higher.

Ready to start watching with the DIRECTV App on your LG Smart TV?

If you have a compatible LG Smart TV, follow the on-screen setup instructions to complete initial setup. Be sure your TV is connected to your home network. 

Now that you are connected, add the DIRECTV App with your LG remote control:

• From the Home Screen, navigate to Apps.
• Select the magnifying glass icon and type DIRECTV in the search bar.
• Choose the DIRECTV App from the search results.
• Select Install.
• Once installation is complete, you can access the DIRECTV App from your home screen.

Network Issues with Your LG Smart TV?

• Make sure your TV is connected to your home network.
• Press and hold the Settings button on your remote, then select General, and choose Network.
• Confirm your TV is connected to the internet.

• LG TV software updates should occur automatically if the device is connected to the internet and automatic updates are turned on.
• To manually check your LG TV has the latest software, press and hold Settings on your remote, then select Support, choose Software Update, and select Check for Updates.
